Logo Polityki Równości PłciBased on the analysis of the survey results, a diagnosis was made of the problems of discrimination (including harassment) and exclusion at the University and the resulting needs. A priority in the implementation of the Gender Equality Plan was established to create an inclusive organizational culture at UAM that supports equality and diversity.

The Plan includes tools for solving the problems identified by the diagnosis, a proposal for relevant actions and a timeframe for their implementation (2022-25). Priority areas were set, focused on achieving six key goals:

Objective 1: Promote an inclusive organizational culture that supports equality and diversity

Objective 2: Support the development of academic careers and ensure gender balance in competition procedures

Objective 3: Strive to create an appropriately balanced gender representation in the university's decision-making bodies, evaluation and assessment and expert teams, and university committees

Objective 4: Create working conditions that facilitate the combination of work and family life

Objective 5: Incorporate the gender dimension into research and teaching content

Objective 6: Implement measures against gender-based violence, including sexual harassment

The coordinator of the Equality Plan is Dr. Agata Hauser

For all Horizon Europe competitions with application submission deadlines starting in 2022, the Gender Equality Plan is mandatory and a criterion for project eligibility.

The Gender Equality Plan is a set of activities aimed at promoting gender equality through institutional and cultural changes in research and innovation organizations. The nomenclature adopted by the European Union uses the acronym GEP (Gender Equality Plan) to describe such plans.
