Gender equality plan
By Order No. 252/2021/2022 of the Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań dated July 15, 2022, the Gender Equality Plan for 2022-2025 was introduced at UAM.See gender equality planBased on the analysis of the survey results, a diagnosis was made of the problems of discrimination (including harassment) and exclusion at the University and the resulting needs. A priority in the implementation of the Gender Equality Plan was established to create an inclusive organizational culture at UAM that supports equality and diversity.
The Plan includes tools for solving the problems identified by the diagnosis, a proposal for relevant actions and a timeframe for their implementation (2022-25). Priority areas were set, focused on achieving six key goals:
Objective 1: Promote an inclusive organizational culture that supports equality and diversity
Objective 2: Support the development of academic careers and ensure gender balance in competition procedures
Objective 3: Strive to create an appropriately balanced gender representation in the university's decision-making bodies, evaluation and assessment and expert teams, and university committees
Objective 4: Create working conditions that facilitate the combination of work and family life
Objective 5: Incorporate the gender dimension into research and teaching content
Objective 6: Implement measures against gender-based violence, including sexual harassment

For all Horizon Europe competitions with application submission deadlines starting in 2022, the Gender Equality Plan is mandatory and a criterion for project eligibility.
The Gender Equality Plan is a set of activities aimed at promoting gender equality through institutional and cultural changes in research and innovation organizations. The nomenclature adopted by the European Union uses the acronym GEP (Gender Equality Plan) to describe such plans.
